CPA Australia chief executive Alex Malley interviews some fascinating guests for the second series of interview program "In Conversation with Alex Malley", screening on the Nine Network.
CPA Australia returns to television screens on 9 October with the second series of its interview program, In Conversation with Alex Malley. The program will air at 10am on Sundays on the Nine Network Australia.
Go behind the scenes with one of the world’s most successful classical musicians, André Rieu, at the castle he calls home in the Netherlands. The violinist has turned his love of classical music into a multimillion-dollar business, and despite the gruelling global touring schedule, he stays across all the minutiae of his business.
“André’s attention to detail is meticulous,” says Malley.
“He has a story to tell – and insights to impart – about bouncing back from failure and having fun on your way to success.”
In the wake of the shock Brexit result, Malley interviewed career politician – and now Australia’s High Commissioner to the UK – Alexander Downer, as well as author and UK-based academic Germaine Greer.
Leadership essentials: creating your own leadership development plan
Back in Australia, Malley chatted with Professor Fiona Wood, the pioneering burns surgeon who came to Australia’s attention in the wake of the Bali bombings; seven times world champion surfer Layne Beachley; one of Australia’s most successful theatre producers, John Frost; and journalist and newsreader Peter Overton.
He also talked with Australian Rules football legend Neale Daniher, who now suffers from motor neurone disease.
The show is a co-production between CPA Australia and Nine Entertainment Co. Malley says the learnings from how his guests influence their business, their community and their family aligns with the possibilities offered by the CPA designation.
