Accounting for the robots

An increasing number of repetitive tasks are being delegated to robots. Where does that leave accountants?

Many experts believe accounting automation will allow accountants to have more time to work with their clients or organisations to find and develop opportunities. With their time freed up, the theory goes that accountants and other knowledge workers will be able to apply their intellect and creativity and transform the nature of their work. 

Extra data processing power could open up opportunities for those who can harness the intelligence they deliver to offer strategic advice to clients.
